Tanda Tula Safari Lodge Review (2025)

New Video on YouTube

I recently visited the newly renovated (and wonderful) Tanda Tula Safari Lodge, in the private Timbavati Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, in South Africa – and I was blown away!

Tanda Tula used to be one of the premier tented experiences in the Greater Kruger, but after a truly magnificent, modern and inspirational redevelopment, they have created a one-of-a-kind product in the modern luxury African safari market in South Africa.

Here’s our YouTube review:

As the saying goes, first impressions last, and the first impression I had when entering the main lodge at Tanda Tula was literally….WOW.

I know that sounds like a cliche but I was stopped still in my tracks, which was bizarre as I was in the middle of meeting the staff 🙂

(I think they’re used to it as they just smiled knowingly.)

It was the the linear expansive views from the main lodge over the infinity pool and onto the waterhole below, which at the time had the local elephant herd playing in the water that did it….but who could blame me?!

You can watch the video above to see the magnificent waterhole yourself, see the incredible villa style suites that you could be forgiven for thinking was for a family, and of course the local wildlife, cuisine, staff and more…

For the direct link on YouTube see our Tanda Tula Lodge Review here.

Enjoy!
